In a prelude to the upcoming America’s Largest RV Show in Hershey, Pa., and the Elkhart RV Open House, the Jayco campus in Middlebury, Ind., on Tuesday (Aug. 30) was the site of a product display featuring the latest from the company’s four divisions – Jayco, Entegra Coach, Highland Ridge and Starcraft – including an all-new fifth-wheel floorplan from Jayco.

Set to make its debut Sept. 14-18 at the “Hershey RV Show,” the all-new Jayco North Point 390CKDS (center kitchen, double suite) features a two-bedroom, two-bath layout that Mike Aplin, senior product director for Jayco’s luxury towable division, characterized as a “park model on wheels.”

“Nobody in the luxury fifth-wheel has this floorplan,” he said. “It’s two full master baths, two full master suites. It’s got a full loft above, so it’s the ultimate family coach.”

The new fifth-wheel was too new to be shown at Jayco’s early-August dealer meeting in Nashville, he added, and will be featured at the Elkhart RV Open House following its debut in Hershey.

The 390CKDS has a GVWR of 18,000 pounds for its 43-foot configuration. MSRPs will start around $125,000.

On the motorized side, Entegra Coach is offering the new Accolade XT, a rugged, off-grid Super C. A shorter version in the Entegra Accolade line, the new XTs are built on the Ford F-550 or F-600 chassis, said Trey Miller, vice president of marketing for Jayco.

A prototype of the F-550 Accolade XT was on display at Jayco on Tuesday and will be exhibited at Open House, Miller said.

“We’re going to kind of scale back on the number of Jayco units, overall, at Open House because we had them all down at Nashville,” he added. “It’s going to be primarily Highland Ridge, Starcraft, Entegra, and of course we will have all the newer Jaycos there.”

While specifications for the prototype Accolade XT are still being hashed out, they should be similar to those of the Entegra’s sister brand, the Jayco Seneca XT. The new Accolade XTs will range in length from 32 to 36 feet and carry GVWRs of 19,500 to 22,000 pounds. MSRPs should land in the mid to upper $200,000s.

Jason Martin, senior director of product development for Highland Ridge and Starcraft, spoke about two all-new variations of travel trailers that will debut at Open House: the stick-and-tin Autumn Ridge 28 BHS from Starcraft and the laminated Open Range 296BHS from Highland Ridge.

“It’s our larger, on the 96-inch-wide chassis, laminated product lineup we have,” Martin said of the 296BHS. “It’s going to be on the upper end of a half-ton to a three-quarter-ton pull.”

The unit features a single slide with dual entries, new solar packages with inverter prewiring, maximized awning space and windows, smart TV, JBL stereo and speakers, a queen-over-queen bunk area and a removable dinette table.

The Open Range 296BHS is 36 feet, 2 inches long with a GVWR of 7,357 pounds. MSRP will be $62,000.

The Autumn Ridge 28 BHS is the biggest stick-and-tin travel trailer Starcraft currently manufactures.

“It’s new for us for 2023,” Martin said.

New features on the 28 BHS include the fold-up Lippert SolidStep, a larger awning, friction hinges on the doors and Slim Shade prep in the windows, he said.

The Starcraft has a new front profile with a more radiused look which improves space in the front bedroom. The interior also boasts a large pantry, large U-dinette, bifold sofa, and a standard 6-cubic-foot refrigerator with an 8-cubic-foot option. A double-over-double bunk and spacious bathroom is found the rear.

The 28 BHS is 33 feet, 8 inches long with a GVWR of 7,600 pounds. MSRP is roughly $40,000, Martin said.

“We’re really excited about the things that we have going on, especially here in the Starcraft lineup and in the Highland Ridge lineup,” Martin added.
