TAMPA, Fla. — Gulf Stream Coach celebrated 40 years of RV manufacturing today (Jan. 20) at its display at the Florida RV SuperShow at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa.

“We thought it would be important to recognize Gulf Stream and our dealers,” Phil Sarvari told RVBusiness in a brief interview prior to the celebration. “A family run business, debt-free, history of success. We’re in our 40th year of being independent. A lot of our dealers we do business with are second- and third-generation family run businesses and we thought it would be important to come out and recognize two of our top dealers at the Tampa Show.”

During a brief presentation featuring 40 candles and several trays of cupcakes iced in Gulf Stream blue, Sarvari and Gulf Stream Chaiman Dan Shea honored Salem Hassan of Travelcamp RV and Matt Gerzeny of Gerzeny’s RV World for their longtime partnerships.

Also honored was Lisa Colvin, show director and office manager at the Florida RV Trade Association (FRVTA), for her 36 years of service to Gulf Stream at the Tampa Show.

Shea told those assembled, “It’s an honor to be here to talk about Gulf Stream’s 40th year in business.”

First, he thanked all the customers and dealers who made Gulf Stream’s success possible.

“They have been the strength of our company over the years,” Shea said.

He then recognized Gulf Stream employees for their hard work and dedication, noting, “As a matter of fact, after 40 years we still have some of the employees who helped us build the first coach.”

“It’s really been fun over the years coming up with the designs and getting them into production,” Shea said. “But really, the biggest impact is the 400,000 units we’ve built and the memories our customers have made with them. They tell me people have traveled over 10 billions miles in our RVs.”

He said that is something Gulf Stream values as a privately owned company,

“One of the things we measure is taking care of the customers. Our customers have waited a long time sometimes to buy an RV and they’re making a substantial investment in us and we take responsibility to fulfill their dreams of having a great time IN an RV,” Shea said “That’s really what’s kept us going and thriving for the last 40 years. We look forward to many more years of happy customers out there.”
