Deadline Thursday for ’23 Top 50 Dealer Award Nominations

The deadline for nominations for the 2023 RVBusiness Top 50 Dealer Awards is fast approaching.

As part of the popular, 12-year-old awards program facilitated by RVBusiness, U.S. and Canadian RV manufacturers are asked to submit a list of up to 10 of their most professional dealers via e-mail Top 50 Coordinator Barb Riley ([email protected]).  The nomination deadline is June 15.

The Top 50 Dealer Awards have become a much sought-after honor among U.S. and Canadian RV retailers who have found substantial value in such a designation. We continue to hear how beneficial it is to their marketing, staff morale and reputation in their community and their customer base. It also reflects well on the manufacturers whose RVs are carried by those Top 50 dealers.

Nominated dealers’ applications, once completed, are then reviewed by a panel of industry executives during a rigorous two-day session after Labor Day at the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Ind.

Winners will include five exemplary Blue Ribbon honorees as well as recipients of the Gaylord A. Maxwell Innovation Award, sponsored by Airxcel Inc., and the Arthur J. Decio Humanitarian Award, sponsored by Wells Fargo CF. They and the rest of the designated dealers will be recognized again this year during a special reception on the evening of Wed., Nov. 8, during the 2023 RV Dealers Convention/Expo held Nov. 6-10 by the National RV Dealers Association (RVDA)RVDA of Canada and the Mike Molino RV Learning Center in Las Vegas.

“RVDA’s volunteer leaders and staff look forward to welcoming back the RVBusiness Top 50 Dealer event to the 2023 RV Dealers Convention/Expo at Paris Las Vegas,” said RVDA President Phil Ingrassia. “By recognizing dealer excellence in customer and community service, the Top 50 celebrates the men and women who work so hard on the front lines of RV sales and service every day.”

“We can’t express just how much we appreciate the ongoing relationship we’ve shared with RVDA over the years, enabling us to showcase exemplary dealers during what this year will likely be an extremely busy convention,” noted RVB Publisher Rick Kessler and Chief Operating Officer Scott Stropkai in a joint statement.

Event Administrator BJ Thompson and Coordinator Barb Riley of Mishawaka, Ind.-based BJ Thompson Associates, say they’re ready for this year’s RVB Top 50 awards, which, they maintain, have little to do with a dealership’s overall sales volume and everything to do with sound business practices, marketing savvy, aggressive employee training, cutting-edge service, community involvement and a commitment to consumer care.

“Throughout the RV industry’s evolution, the one constant is the need to take care of people – the RVers themselves,” added Thompson. “Treating people well and doing the right thing will always be what the best dealerships are all about. That’s why professionalism and excellent customer care are at the core of what our applicants are judged by and what our winners are honored for.”

While RVBusiness provides press release templates with which Top 50 dealers can publicize the awards in their respective media markets, dealers’ Top 50 status is also publicized in national print and digital publications reaching millions of RVing consumers. RVBusiness also supplies “Top 50” signage for use at stores and retail shows and offers apparel options that dealers can purchase for their staff members.

All Convention/Expo attendees are invited to this year’s awards reception for a program sponsored this year by Airxcel, Brown & Brown Dealer Services, Cummins Inc., GE Appliances, Genesis Products, NTP/STAG, Northpoint Commercial Finance, Performance Brokerage Services, Protective Asset Protection, RV Trader, and Wells Fargo CF.
