Orion Rolls Out Safety & Emergency Kit for RV Industry

When asked how Orion decided to develop this kit for the RV market, Bob Defonte, VP of Sales and Marketing for Orion, stated, “We heard from our distributors that service the RV dealer market that dealers had been asking for RV-specific safety and emergency products to provide to their customers. No products were currently available to meet the needs of RV and Camper owners, and we saw a demand for a product to fill those unique needs.

To better understand the needs of dealers, Orion commissioned independent research to determine the interest level of dealers and what items they believed their RV owners would want in a kit, the size of the kit, price point targets, and what kind of display and point of sale they would like to merchandise the products. This research confirmed there was strong demand for the product by dealers and in turn for their RV owners and customers. Their guidance also helped determine the contents of the kits and its ideal price point.

They also told us how they would like to display the products in their dealerships. We used that feedback to develop a display kit that will be available with the first shipment of the product. It will make it easy for consumers to find the products, as well as highlight unique benefits of the kit, and how having the kit in their RV will increase their safety in an emergency.”
