‘Meanwhile in Florida’: Doorbell Cam Catches Alligators on Porch

If you live in Florida, it might be wise to check your doorbell cam before opening the door, because it might be a couple of alligators. One homeowner in Florida’s Ave Maria community recently submitted doorbell-cam footage of two such visitors to local WINK News. The news channel’s chief meteorologist shared the video on social media, overlaying text that reads “Meanwhile in Florida.”

“Welcome to Florida . . . where you might see gators casually climbing up the front door of your house,” wrote Matt Devitt, WINK News’ chief meteorologist in his Instagram post sharing the footage. The video does, in fact, show one of the alligators trying to climb up the person’s front door.
