WATCH: Dogs Take on Massive Brown Bear in Alaska

A viral moment from the past continues to wrack up views online, because it’s just that crazy. Several dogs came face to face with a massive brown bear near Cooper Landing, Alaska in what became an epic standoff. As the dogs fought the bear, the dogs’ owner, Jen Harpe, tried desperately to call them back.

“Intense moment from a couple weeks back,” wrote Mike Evans, owner of Kenai River and Company in his Instagram post sharing the viral video he recorded on Harpe’s property. “No dogs or bears were harmed in the making of this video.”

Even though all the animals walked away from the skirmish, Harpe pointed out in an interview with local news that the bear appeared to have injuries around its neck, possibly from the fight with the dogs. She says that having bears on your property is part of life in this part of Alaska.
