With its breathtaking mountains, thick forests, and winding rivers, Montana is a camper’s paradise. The entire state is carpeted in campgrounds, and everyone seems to have their favorite hidden gems. But one place that everyone seems to agree on is The Nugget RV Resort. This RV park has hundreds of reviews, and they all say the same thing: This is one of the best campgrounds you’ll ever stay at!

It’s rare to find a destination with so many glowing reviews. Generally, the more feedback a place has, the more balanced the ratings. But here, it’s just an endless stream of praise and promises to return next year. When you take a closer look at the resort itself, it’s easy to see why it has gained such a great reputation. And, you can also see why you should book your stay as soon as possible (opens April 1, 2025).

This resort is located in the heart of a pine forest, so it offers that classic campground feeling you might be looking for. But it also comes with a huge collection of amenities, so you can enjoy all the comforts of home during your stay. It’s a beautifully balanced park that comes with top-tier managers and plenty of recreation opportunities in the area. And who doesn’t love that?

Overview

The Nugget RV Resort is located at 1037 Old Hwy 10 East, St. Regis, MT 59866. It’s just a short walk away from the flowing waters of the Clark Fork. The nearby town of St. Regis is tiny, but it can still provide you with anything you might have forgotten during your travels.

Due to Montana’s northern climate, this park is only open on a seasonal basis. Once the cold weather rolls around, you may want to head for warmer destinations! But the resort is open for business from early April to October 15 each year. Discounted prices are also available in the period before Memorial Day and after Labor Day.

The RV park itself is mid-sized, with a total of 87 sites available. The sites are all quite spacious and they also come with full hookups. Many sites also include paved parking spaces, picnic tables, fire pits, and nearby trees for shade. No matter where you stay, you’re guaranteed to have a nice spot that’s big enough to stretch out in.

The rates here aren’t half bad either! Although each site comes with hookups for water, sewage, and electricity, the specific location, amenities, and power of the hookups can vary based on your chosen site type. The rates may fluctuate a bit, but check out the list below for the average nightly prices.

  • 30-amp RV Sites: $61 per night
  • 50-amp Standard RV Sites: $66 per night
  • 50-amp Premium RV Sites: $71 per night
  • 50-amp Super Premium RV Sites: $76 per night
  • Additional $5 fees may apply if you bring extra people, pets, or vehicles.

The Nugget RV Resort also offers a selection of rental cabins if you’re looking for a change of pace. The cabins don’t include running water, but they are cozy little places to spend time with family, or enjoy a romantic getaway! Five different options are available (each one costing $88 per night) so keep them in mind during your next stay.
