New Ind. Gov. Braun, Former Meyer Exec, Takes Oath Today – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News
Today, Gov.-elect Mike Braun – whose ties to the RV industry include his family’s Jasper, Ind.-based company, Meyer Distributing – will take the reins from Gov. Eric Holcomb and begin his administration alongside Micah Beckwith, who will serve as lieutenant governor. Braun, Beckwith and Attorney General Todd Rokita, who will be serving a second term, will all be sworn in to their respective offices sometime after 11 a.m., according to a report by the Indiana Capital Chronicle.
The free and publicly open ceremony will be the culmination of a three-day series of inaugural events — a return to normal after Gov. Eric Holcomb’s socially distanced occasion in January 2021. Braun’s inauguration will be held at the Indianapolis Hilbert Circle Theatre, home to the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra with a capacity to seat over 1,600 attendees.
The 11 a.m. oath of office will take place after several other inaugural activities, including a ticketed breakfast on Monday hosted by incoming First Lady Maureen Braun to honor Indiana’s female entrepreneurs.
