OHI Reminds Partnering State Memberships Due by Dec. 31 – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News

Parks located in the listed formerly partnering states who have yet to renew their national OHI membership for the 2025 calendar year are at risk of losing access to their benefits come Jan. 1, 2025, according to a release from OHI, the national trade association representing private campgrounds.

Previously, members in these states paid dues to their state association for both state and national dues. Moving forward, members now have the choice to join both associations separately — meaning they receive a separate bill from OHI for national dues and a separate bill for state dues.

The states in question are:

  • Alaska
  • Arizona
  • Colorado
  • Connecticut
  • Illinois
  • Indiana
  • Kansas
  • Louisiana
  • Maine
  • Maryland
  • Massachusetts
  • Michigan
  • Missouri
  • New Jersey
  • North Carolina
  • Ohio
  • Pennsylvania
  • South Carolina
  • South Dakota
  • Virginia
  • Wisconsin

If not renewed, national OHI memberships will expire Dec 31, 2024, and all benefit access will be forfeited.

OHI membership offers a range of valuable benefits to help your business succeed, including exclusive discounts, access to the best pricing for music and movie licensing, visibility to a large network of campers through GoCampingAmerica, and powerful advocacy efforts on your behalf. From resources that simplify operations to legislative efforts that protect your interests, there is so much to gain from continuing your OHI membership.

“Both State Associations and the National Association, OHI, play crucial roles in our industry, and both deserve our support,” said Mike Gurevich, President of the Maryland Association of Campground Owners. “State and regional associations offer close-to-home networks where we share local issues, marketing opportunities, and look out for each other. Meanwhile, OHI (formerly National ARVC) provides a national presence, tackling broad legislative matters like the National Electric Code (NEC), and offering unparalleled education and networking opportunities. Even if you can’t attend national conferences, OHI’s online resources are invaluable. Plus, benefits like the music license make joining OHI worthwhile.”

The choice is yours, but OHI continues to encourage membership at both the state and national levels. The more industry professionals stay connected, the more they grow, and the more they grow, the more they know. Renew today to keep enjoying all the benefits of OHI.
