A Look Inside a Modular Cabin Designed By Bjarke Ingles Group
The Softshell’s front face looks quite similar to that of the Klein A45 Cabin, resembling a right triangle. That’s no real surprise, given that the Softshell was made in collaboration with the team at celebrated architectural firm Bjarke Ingeles Group (BIG), who also designed the Klein A45.
Many details about the Softshell are still emerging, but Nokken is pitching the huts as flexible multi-functional spaces. As is the case for many glamping tents, there is enough room below the roof for a queen-sized bed, but also a small seating area and stove.
The canvas exterior is apparently UV-resistant and waterproof, which should allow for comfortable living in hot and wet conditions. Insulation is to be made available as an add on for those using the Softshell in the cold starting next May 2025.
