WATCH: Massive Bull Elk Crosses the Road in Colorado

Seth Powell posts adventure and wildlife videos from Colorado. He recently captured a massive bull elk crossing the road near a local YMCA in Estes Park. For people in this area, perhaps it’s ho-hum, but for the rest of us, it’s a spectacle. (We know this is true because Powell’s video has nearly 700,000 views since he posted it a few days ago.)

“We call this bull elk Split 5, and some call him Atlas,” wrote Powell on his Instagram post sharing the video.

The footage shows a large elk walking out into the street, huffing as it goes. One truck drives around it, but the other vehicles stop and wait. Several bystanders also stop to take photos as this big guy makes his way from one side of the road to the other.
