- Newmar Reveals All-New Grand Star Super-C Coach: This is a little leftover news from last week, but we didn’t want to let it slip off the radar. Upscale motor coach manufacturer Newmar has taken the wraps off its latest model—the 2026 Grand Star Super-C RV. The industry-first 34′ vehicle is squarely aimed at first-time buyers, but includes the company’s trademark high-quality design and construction, with some outstanding features. Those include a Freightliner S2RV chassis, a king-size bed, an 8kW generator, a residential-size refrigerator, and much more. - Boreas Campers Launches ‘Ultra-Base’ Budget Model: Looking for a budget-friendly, off-road-ready towable? Boreas Campers has you covered. The lightweight trailer manufacturer has launched a new model dubbed the UB, which stands for “ultra-base.” The unit is slim on features but is perfect for DIYers looking to build out their own lightweight camper. - Roadsurfer RV Rental Brand Set to Expand in the US in 2025: Roadsurfer—a German-based RV rental company—has announced plans to expand its operations in the US in 2025. The brand, which rents Class B camper vans, currently operates out of Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Francisco, but will open new outlets in Denver, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, and Seattle next year. - Escapod Joins Forces with General Tire for Improved Driving Performance: Teardrop trailer manufacturer Escapod announced that is it partnering with General Tire this week to bring better all-around driving performance to its campers. In the past, the towables came equipped with Grabber Tire A/T X tires, but now owners can choose from other Grabber models—including the APT, A/T X and X3—based on their specific driving needs.
- GearJunkie Shares Best of SEMA Show: In last week’s news round-up we shared a number of stories that came out of the big SEMA show in Las Vegas. But, the convention put on by the Specialty Equipment Market Association, is massive in size and scope, making it impossible to cover everything on display there. However, our friends over at GearJunkie did list their favorite things they saw at the expo, offering up a list of Top Products on display and the Top Adventure Vehicles. Both articles give us a lot to be excited about.
- Outdoor Recreation Leaders Call For Swift Passing of the EXPLORE Act: With a new administration set to take over in Washington, DC in January, the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable (ORR) is urging Congress to pass the Expanding Public Lands Outdoor Recreation Experiences—or EXPLORE—Act. The legislation is designed to boost the economies of small towns located on or near public lands, while also enhancing the lives of Americans by creating more opportunities to get outside. The EXPLORE Act has bipartisan support and has already cleared the House of Representatives back in April. If the Senate passes it, current President Biden is likely to sign the bill in a matter of days. Support from incoming President-elect Trump is murkier and he could decide to veto it outright. - Go Power and Zamp Solar Offer Tech Training Course: RV technicians looking to improve their skills working with Go Power and Zamp Solar products now have a new option. The two brands are offering a Level 3 training session through a partnership with the RV Technical Institute that offers a self-led 16-hour online course to help familiarize techs with the products. - Winnebago Announces 2024 Flying W Awards: As the end of the year draws nearer, we find ourselves back in the awards season once again. This week, Winnebago announced the 2024 recipients of the coveted Flying W Awards, which are given out annually to the Winnebago dealers that earn the highest satisfaction ratings from buyers. The list is long and distinguished, but you can read them all here.
- Roadmaster Teams Up with Keller Marine: Roadmaster’s line of towing and suspension solutions is now more widely available. This week, the RV accessories maker announced that it is teaming up with Keller Marine & RV to provide greater access to those products. According to a press release, Roadmaster products are now in stock at Keller’s wholesale distribution outlets, and are now more accesible to more than 3,000 dealerships that fall under that distribution umbrella.
