Viral Video Shows Man Doing CPR on a Snake

Have you ever seen a dead or dying snake and thought, maybe I can save that snake. I’ll try CPR. No? Well a viral video out of India shows a man attempting to do just that. In fact, it appears his heroic (albeit eccentric) efforts actually worked.

Desh Gujarat reports that a young man, a “rescuer” named Yash Tadvi, rushed to the scene in Vadodara, India after someone found a snake “in critical condition” and called for help. “Upon arrival, [Tadvi] found the snake seemingly lifeless but promptly began performing CPR,” Desh Gujarat claims. “Remarkably, he succeeded in reviving the snake.”

In the video, you see Tadvi holding a lifeless snake, then he puts his mouth around its head and starts puffing air into the snake’s body. Pretty soon, that snake begins wiggling around.

Watch a man resuscitate a snake by performing mouth-to-mouth CPR here:

Is this for real? Would that even work? We have so many questions.

Tadvi said: “The snake appeared dead, but when I held it, I sensed it was still alive. I then started performing CPR. I felt immense relief and happiness when the snake revived, and I safely handed it over to the forest department.”

Bravo to this man for even thinking to try CPR on a snake.
