Mountain Biker Erik Fedko Flies Over the Treetops in Insane Video

Erik Fedko climbs up a pole. At the top, his mountain bike hangs precariously. Fedko stands on a tiny platform barely big enough for his feet as he catches his breath from the vertical climb. He’s 24 meters (nearly 80 feet) up. Someone says over his headpiece, “Erik, you can drop in any time now.”

Fedko is a German mountain biker. He and sponsor RedBull put together an absolutely insane video at the Green Hill Bike Park in Sauerland, Germany, which went live on YouTube yesterday.

After Fedko preps himself for the drop, he gets a countdown over his headpiece—”drop in in 3-2-1″—and then he lets gravity take over. He holds his bike over the empty space below him, leans, and falls. Mid-air, he straddles his bike and the real fun begins.

As viewers, we’re already so in at this point, but then Fedko does impossible trick after impossible trick, including one in which he appears to fly over the treetops. For nearly three minutes, you’ll have a hard time picking your jaw up off the floor.
