The show, which focuses on outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, boating, and vacation travel, hadn’t been held since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Organizer Jeff Cox was thankful.

“Well this weekend we’ve had a record attendance for all the years that we’ve ever had the show and I’ve never seen so many positive people
and I’m very thankful that Belleville supported this show and they came back.  It was a very nice thing to see,” Cox said

Final attendance figures aren’t available but the previous attendance record had been 15,000.

Meanwhile Cox said that despite the negative economic outlook that’s dominated headlines lately a lot of people are upbeat.

“People are buying boats, there are people buying trailers,” Cox added.  “There’s a lot of business being done for the guys locally which I’m very glad to see because after all of this there was a lot of guys that couldn’t do any business and that’s really helped out a lot.”
