It’s always nice to stay at a campground that offers a prime location, full hookups, great amenities, and spacious campsites. But it can be tough to find a park that checks all those boxes within your budget. Some RV parks and resorts can cost hundreds of dollars per night, which adds up quickly. Luckily, there are also plenty of budget campgrounds that can give you great bang for your buck.

Everyone has a different idea of what a reasonable price for a campsite is. But if you’re looking for something that’s less than $60 per night, we’ve got some great options for you. The parks listed here all cost $60 or less per night, plus they have full hookups and appealing locations.

Whether you want to camp close to a big city or a beautiful nature preserve, we’ve got your back. Read on to learn about some of the hottest (and most affordable) spots to spend your summer vacation.

Ancient Redwoods RV Park

This first park is in an amazing location in the heart of the California redwood forest. The size of these giant trees is awe-inspiring and many people love the opportunity to camp in their shadows.

The park itself is fairly small, but it’s well-maintained. The sites are paved and level, plus there’s a decent amount of space in between the sites. There are also plenty of outdoor activities in the area to help you fully explore the forest. Best of all, the famous “Immortal Tree” is located just outside of the campground.

McArthur’s Temple View RV Resort

Moving on from redwoods to red rocks, it’s time to visit Southern Utah. St. George is a popular destination for snowbirds, but it has plenty of budget campgrounds that are available all year long. McArthur’s Temple View RV Resort puts you close to a variety of restaurants and shopping centers, plus it’s only an hour or two away from a couple of national parks.

The location is the star here, but the park itself is also quite nice. The sites are a bit closer together here, but visitors can enjoy full hookups, picnic tables, a pool/hot tub, a fitness room, and many other modern amenities.

Spring Branch RV Park

Next up, we’ve got a budget campground from Texas. Spring Branch RV Park has a great location that puts it right in-between Austin and San Antonio. You can enjoy a nice quiet campground, but you’re never too far away from a big city. A river and lake are also located nearby, so it’s easy to stay cool during those sweltering Texas summers.

This RV park has been recently renovated and it’s a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. The sites are landscaped, the managers are responsive, and everything is clean and well-maintained.

Saguaro Skies FamCamp

Location: Litchfiled Rd, Glendale, Arizona 85309

Arizona may be a hot destination for summer travel, but the Saguaro Skies FamCamp offers a nice sanctuary from the heat. This park has all the convenience features you could ask for, including showers, restrooms, laundry services, and nearby gas stations/stores.

This is a military camp, so be prepared for bugle calls and a bit of activity. But this also means that there’s a commissary and exchange nearby, which many guests have enjoyed. If you’re looking for a nice affordable FamCamp, put this one on the list!

Madison Campground

Yellowstone National Park is one of the largest and most famous parks in America. People travel from all around the world to visit. If you’re got an RV, you can stay at Madison Campground and enjoy access to this park for an incredibly low price. This large park is surrounded by trees, which keep it cool in the summer.

The sites here are a bit small and close together to accommodate more guests, but otherwise it’s a wonderful place to stay. The whole area is regularly cleaned and serviced, plus the scenery is hard to beat. The park is right at your doorstep as well so you can spend days adventuring outdoors.

Camp Creek State Park

Next up, we’ve got a cozy little park nestled in the forests of West Virginia. Camp Creek State Park gives you a perfect mix of rolling hills, leafy trees, and winding rivers. There’s a scenic waterfall less than 1/4 mile away and the campground is small and quiet.

The sites are paved here, and each one also comes with a picnic table. The hookups are a bit limited, but most sites at least have electricity. In addition, you’re close to all kinds of park attractions, trails, and historical sites.

Defeated Creek Park

If you want to visit Nashville but don’t want to camp in the busy city, head to Defeated Creek Park. This is one of the most affordable budget campgrounds, and it’s located in a beautiful natural area. There’s water on three sides of this park, thanks to the Cumberland River and the titular Defeated Creek.

The whole campground is lush and green, surrounded by mature trees. The sites are also big-rig friendly and offer plenty of space for parking. If you’re in the market for a waterfront RV park, be sure to give this one a visit. It’s definitely a hidden gem in Tennessee.

Finn Road Park Campground

Speaking of waterfront camping, this next option is located on the shores of one of the Great Lakes: Lake Huron. When you stay here, you’re just down the road from direct beach access. The park itself is also a wonderful green space that has been lovingly-maintained by the owners.

All the sites are paved with concrete, plus they come with fire pits and picnic tables. This is a fairly small park, but many visitors enjoy this fact, stating that their visit is quiet and peaceful. It’s a lovely area with plenty of plants and wildlife to enjoy.

Crosswinds Campground—Jordan Lake SRA

If you’re planning a trip to North Carolina, Crosswinds Campground is a fantastic place to stay. It’s located on the outskirts of Raleigh, and it’s on the shores of massive Jordan Lake. Whether you want adventures in the city or the freedom to explore nature, this location gives you a bit of everything.

This RV park is calm and picturesque. It’s located in a heavily wooded area so there’s plenty of shade to keep you cool during the summer. The sites are also fairly large and easy to park in. Everything is kept in good condition, thanks to the managers. You can expect a clean, quiet visit when you stay here.

Lake Louisa State Park

Finally, we have a gorgeous budget campground in Florida. Lake Louisa State Park is just outside of Orlando and helps you get away from the stresses of the big city. The surrounding lakes are serene, and they’re home to plenty of wildlife. Anglers and birdwatchers will definitely love this park.

Not every site here has full hookups, but they are available if you book in advance. The sites here are well-sized and most of them have decent shade coverage. They also come with fire pits and picnic tables to help you enjoy your outdoor space. Overall, it’s a perfect place to enjoy a mix of everything Florida has to offer.
