Wendlands Posting 500th ‘RV Lifestyle’ Podcast Wednesday – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News

This week marks a significant milestone for popular “RV Lifestyle” blogger and podcaster Mike Wendland, who, along with his wife and partner Jennifer, is celebrating his 500th RV consumer podcast on Wednesday (June 5), the Wendlands report in today’s press release.

“This is a big week for us,” said Mike Wendland, a popular author and influencer in the North American RV retail marketplace since he retired in 2012 from a lengthy award-winning career in mainstream journalism and turned toward the recreational vehicle sector in a big way.

That’s when the Wendlands bought a Class B motorhome to explore the American countryside and wound up launching an exciting new chapter involving high-profile coverage of the RV retail marketplace focusing on everything from full-timing tips to new and used RV buying advisories to campground etiquette, retirement insights, bear attack advice and much more.

“It’s actually quite a few more than 500 episodes,” said the Wendlands, whose permanent address is in southern Michigan when they’re not on the road. “But in the early months, we did a lot of special on-location podcasts from RV shows, rallies, product announcements and special events that we didn’t assign official episode numbers as we started after the first few months.

“So, it’s at least 500 episodes, and in this week’s episode, which will be released on Wednesday, we share how this all started and where we think we’re headed. Please be sure to tune in.”

The Wendlands have simultaneously released their 22nd eBook entitled “The Ultimate Guide to Exploring the Bourbon Trail,” based on a fun trip through mostly rural Kentucky. “We suggest great campgrounds, restaurants, attractions and the Bourbon distilleries that make this region of the country as famous as California’s fabled Napa County is for wine,” the release states.

Twelve years into their second career, meanwhile, the Wendlands and their Norwegian Elkhound Bo currently travel about half to three-quarters of the time in their Keystone Montana High Country fifth-wheel creating content for an audience of about a million regular followers who tune into their blogs, videos, books, newsletters and other media content on a regular basis.

That includes a YouTube Channel drawing about 185,000 monthly subscribers and a Facebook RV LifestyleGroup with about 400,000 members plus 50,000 followers on Instagram, X and other social media platforms.
