Industry Execs Gather for Canadian RV Association Meetings – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News

The Canadian RV Association (CRVA) held its latest Board Meeting and Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 22 at the Delta Hotels Grand Okanagan Resort in Kelowna, British Columbia. The event brought together industry leaders and stakeholders to discuss key initiatives and strategic directions for the coming year, according to a release.

The meetings, which included closed and open sessions, provided a comprehensive overview of the association’s activities and accomplishments. Highlights included the CRVA President’s Report, updates from the RVDA of Canada, Canadian Camping and RV Council, and Go RVing Canada, as well as discussions on membership, industry forecasts, and new business initiatives.

A special thank you was extended to Jeff McDermott of Wells Fargo Commercial Distribution Finance, who has served as the chairman of the CRVA since 2017. McDermott’s dedication and commitment to the association have been instrumental in advancing the goals and objectives of the CRVA, the release continued. His leadership has left a lasting impact on the organization and the RV industry in Canada.

As McDermott steps down, the CRVA announced that Marty Bloemberg of GLP Canada will serve as the new chairman for 2024-2025. Bloemberg’s extensive experience and passion for the RV industry will undoubtedly guide the CRVA to new heights, the release stated.

“We are immensely grateful to Jeff McDermott for his extensive years of service and unwavering dedication to the CRVA and the Canadian RV Industry,” said Shane Devenish, President of the CRVA. “It has been a real pleasure serving under Jeff for the past seven years and I look forward to the new perspectives and leadership that Marty will bring as our new chairman.”

The CRVA remains committed to enhancing, protecting, and promoting the recreational vehicle industry in Canada through effective communication, positive relationships, and advocacy among industry stakeholders and government bodies. “We look forward to the opportunities and challenges ahead with CRVA poised to continue in its work supporting the growth and development of the RV industry in Canada,” the release added.
