NHTSA Releases its Most Recent Installment of RV Recalls – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News

EDITOR’S NOTE: The following is the latest list of RV recalls compiled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Per strict NHTSA protocols, manufacturers will next notify its dealer partners of the recall notice. Each notice will include details of the affected vehicles as well as the appropriate remedy.

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2017-2019 Transit Connect vehicles. An improper bond may exist between the panoramic roof and the vehicle body, which can result in the panel detaching from the vehicle. Dealers will remove, clean, and reinstall the panoramic roof panel, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 20. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford’s number for this recall is 24S29. Potential number of units affected – 1,315.

Winnebago Industries, Inc. is recalling certain 2021-2023 Sunstar, Vista, 2022-2023 Cambria, Inspire, 2023 Forza, 2024 Minnie Winnie, Spirit, 2024-2025 Porto and Vita motorhomes. The LED backlight circuit board in the cooktop range may fail, causing the board to overheat. Dealers will replace the cooktop control panel, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by June 25. Owners may contact Winnebago customer service at 1-641-585-6939 or 1-800-537-1885. Winnebago’s number for this recall is 184. Potential number of units affected – 1,166.

Highland Ridge RV is recalling certain 2022-2023 Mesa Ridge TT, Mesa Ridge XLT FW, Open Range Roamer FW, Open Range TT, Silverstar TT, and Silverstar XLT FW trailers. The LED backlight circuit board in the cooktop range may fail, causing the board to overheat. Dealers will disconnect and cut the circuit powering the LED backlights and terminate the wiring, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by May 30. Owners may contact Highland Ridge customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Highland Ridge’s number for this recall is 9904606. Potential number of units affected – 681.

Starcraft RV (Starcraft) is recalling certain 2023 GSL fifth wheel trailers. The LED backlight circuit board in the cooktop range may fail, causing the board to overheat. Dealers will disconnect and cut the circuit powering the LED backlights and terminate the wiring, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed by May 30, 2024. Owners may contact Starcraft customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Starcraft’s number for this recall is 9902606. Potential number of units affected – 17.

Alliance RV, LLC is recalling certain 2024 Avenue 22ML, 26RD, 29RL, 32RLS, 33RKS, 37MBR, and 38DBL travel trailers. The inverter circuit was improperly wired to a 30 amp breaker, which could allow the breaker to overheat. Dealers will install a 20 amp breaker, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 28. Owners may contact Alliance customer service at 1-574-218-7165. Potential number of units affected – 235.
