Priority RV’s Annual Meeting Reflects ‘Business as Usual’ – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News
HENDERSON, Nev. – On a gorgeous spring day in the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson, Nev., Priority RV Network (PRVN) spokesmen Andy Heck and Brian Wilkins updated RVBusiness yesterday on how things were going with PRVN’s 2024 Annual Meeting, which is taking place Tuesday through Thursday, April 2-4, at the M Resort Spa Casino. And as you can tell from the photos in this posting from Vegas photographer Adrienne Angelo, shot during a Tuesday reception full of PRVN dealers and exhibiting suppliers, things have been going rather well.
“For the first phase of the meeting, including Tuesday’s well attended reception and today’s vendor presentations, life seems good and many of those in attendance seems rather upbeat,” said PRVN Secretary Brian Wilkins, president of Wilkins RV, with seven New York State RV dealerships. “As for our own (Wilkins) business, we’re going to finish out the first quarter of 2024 dead flat with 2023, which is good. We’ve seen some spurts where it seemed like it was better than that. And then, obviously, we’ve seen some spurts where it’s not so good. So, it’s a challenge. It’s a battle – but nothing we haven’t been through before. You just have to adjust and keep going.”
In fact, Wilkins and Heck say the general pace of business at this year’s annual meeting is similar in many ways to that of other recent years in spite of the economic headwinds that the RV arena and other U.S. industrial sectors have been experienced lately.
“Yeah, I would say that,” added PRVN board member Heck, president and co-owner of Alpin Haus RV, with four RV outlets in eastern New York and New Jersey. “You know, it’s one of those deals where everybody kind of understands the current conditions. People seem realistic about what the year ahead is going to be, knowing that the back half of the year will be better. Most all of the vendors who have been presenting so far have been pretty much realistic with their expectations for the market, too. So, I think it’s just one of those cycles where it’s kind of business as usual and everybody knows they just have to work a little bit harder.”
Thursday’s agenda includes the last supplier presentations and a manufacturers’ panel discussion in which Thor Industries Inc.’s Bob Martin, Grand Design RV’s Don Clark and Forest River Inc.’s Doug Gaeddert are expected to add their thoughts on the road ahead.
