Orange County, Calif.-based Vanspeed introduced the company’s newest adventure van line for exploring endless summers, the California Coast.
Designed as a professional-grade excursion rig, Vanspeed created the new California Coast van line as a “versatile travel solution perfect for weekend getaways that can also be used for longer, coastal excursions in mind,” according to a release.

Expertly outfitted with modern appointments, the new Vanspeed California Coast also provides travelers with loads of usable storage for outdoor action sports enthusiasts, including plenty of room for surfboards, bikes, kayaks, and other adventure gear.
“The new Vanspeed California Coast layout was designed specifically with adventure and coastal exploration in mind. Personally, I’m an action sports enthusiast. A lot of our clients share that same passion for adventuring and being active in the outdoors,” said Vanspeed Founder Duran Morley. “Obviously, the beach is a big point of interest for our clients, so designing a van made for the surf and sand that can be used hard and easily cleaned out is key. Vanspeed has designed the new California Coast to offer a versatile living experience, the release continued. It comfortably accommodates two adults and seamlessly transitions from a cozy sleeping area to a functional dining station. With its adaptable layout, users can optimize their living space effortlessly. The bed easily converts into a dinette table, ensuring flexibility all times throughout the day.
Equipped with a 25-gallon fresh water tank, the California Coast provides ample water supply for extended adventures. Vanspeed also integrated a two-burner induction cooktop along with an Isotherm refrigerator and freezer to see all necessary cooking and food storage needs. The California Coast further features a kitchen cabinet with a four-drawer setup that is perfect for storing everyday cookware, while five-door ceiling cabinets ensure easy storage and access for all must-have items without interfering with the living space.
General storage for action sports and recreation is also a key facet of Vanspeed’s new California Coast layout. The California Coast allows adventurers to store larger pieces of equipment such as longboards, surfboards, kayaks, snowboards, tents, bikes, and much more. Another incredible aspect of the new California Coast from Vanspeed is that the company specifically designed room for underbed storage and an exclusive gear garage into the layout without taking up excessive space.
Made for adventure, Vanspeed’s California Coast also includes an outdoor quick connect shower that is easily available for washing off the grit, dirt, and sand after a day outdoors. For easy clean up, Vanspeed also includes a HVAC system by Maxxair RV ventilation, while Thinsulate insulation and sound dampening from 3M provides a quieter, more insulated experience while in the cabin. For off-grid power, Vanspeed integrated a 200-watt solar panel for use even in the most remote locations.
Vanspeed’s California Coast is just one of four unique layouts they offer for the 144-inch Sprinter Van. Leveraging predefined configurations enables Vanspeed to streamline its production process, delivering top-notch adventure vans at an accelerated pace compared to other builders.
While the industry norm for customized adventure vans typically involves waiting times of six to eight months, Vanspeed boasts a turnaround time of less than three months for their clients.
