Relentless Dealer Services’ Jamison Carrier Eyes Congress – RVBusiness – Breaking RV Industry News
GREENWOOD, Ind. – Jamison Carrier of Relentless Dealer Services, who is seeking election to represent Indiana’s Sixth Congressional District in the U.S. House of representatives, announced his support for the Travel Trailer and Camper Tax Parity Act (H.R. 3624) that was recently introduced in the House.
“The RV Industry is a driving force for economic growth in Indiana, leading the country in revenue from sales and manufacturing, with over 80% of our country’s recreational vehicles produced right here in the Hoosier state,” Carrier stated. “With my professional experience in this field, I am thrilled to see the Travel Trailer and Camper Tax Parity Act introduced in the House to fix the tax reform bill’s definition of “motor vehicle” for equal tax treatment for the floor plan finance interest deduction. This bill will provide equal tax treatment, strengthen competitiveness, and support the growth of Indiana’s RV industry. It’s a win-win for Hoosier job creators and taxpayers.”
Carrier is facing at least four other Republicans seeking their party’s nomination in the GOP primary: State Rep. Mike Speedy, R-Indianapolis; Sen. Jeff Raatz, R-Richmond; Darin Childress of Wayne County; and Sid Mahant. The winner will face Democrat Cinde Wirth, who is currently uncontested in the Democratic primary.
Current officeholder Rep. Greg Pence, R-Indiana, is not seeking reelection.
