‘Campground Views’ Achieves 1,000th Virtual Tour Milestone

Campground Views has released the 1,000th Campground Virtual Tour, a product of the proprietary software built by the company, according to a press release.

The Campground Virtual Tours allow potential travelers to virtually visit, tour, click and book campsites across the United States. Bonelli Bluffs RV Resort and Campground in California was the 1,000th tour released and it is available for use on the RV resort’s website and on CampgroundViews.com.

“We built this for campers first and it is their rapid adoption and emphatic support of the technology that is driving us forward,” said Mark Koep, CEO of Campground Views. “We have established the standard in virtual tour technology for the Outdoor Hospitality Industry that can not be duplicated.”

The Campground Virtual Tour technology is designed to emulate the experience campers seek when they visit a campground for the first time. The camper is able to hit play and watch a video tour of the campground roads and pathways leading to and around the camping area. The viewer can interact with the experience by directing the view to look left, right, up or down. As campsites, cabins or amenities come into the field of view the viewer can click on them for more information, a closer look or to start the booking process.

The company launched the experience in June 2022 focusing on campgrounds in the Recreation.gov system including Forest Service, National Park and Corp of Engineer properties. Quickly thereafter the tours were developed for private RV parks and other public agencies including Merced Water District and Launch Pointe in Lake Elsinore.

“Campers are currently paying us to use these tours of Recreation.gov properties,” said Koep, “when a park operator pays for the production the tour is available to be embedded directly on their website and shared widely for free. Think about that, this is a tool so valuable to campers they are willingly paying for it right now!”

The company is celebrating this milestone with a 50% off promotion for consumer member signups through Friday, Dec 2. Mark Koep will be in attendance this week at the Campground Owners Expo in Branson, Miss., to celebrate this milestone with the industry.
