La Mesa RV President Bob Upton Retires After 29-Year Career

La Mesa RV announces the retirement of Bob Upton, who most recently held the position of the president with the corporation, which is headquartered in San Diego, Calif., and operates 11 RV dealerships in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Florida.

Upton has held numerous roles within the company over the past 29 years including Director of Sales and Service, Vice President, CEO and President. 

Jason Kimbrell, CEO of La Mesa, expressed that for nearly three decades “Bob’s warmth, humor, compassion, wisdom, leadership and encouragement have been unmatched in our company history. For many of us, Bob has been something even greater, he has been our trusted friend.” 

Upton plans to pursue many passions in retirement including travel, music, photography and Drum Corps. He will be able to spend more time with his two children and three grandchildren. 

La Mesa officials wish Upton the best in retirement and offers their humble thanks for the years of devoted and dedicated service to the company. “We’re certain the rest of the RV community would like to join us in wishing Bob well,” offiicals said. 

La Mesa RV was founded in 1972 in a suburb of San Diego, Calif.
