Nathan Lee is a digital creator from Kentucky, a Canon USA creator and FAA Certified Commercial Drone Pilot with over 600 hundred thousand followers on TikTok. This photo captured one of his favorite sunrises, “a wild morning, chasing the fog and light around the valley floor.” The fall conditions mean moody fog and soft light, the perfect recipe for a landscape photographer.

Humbling Moments Standing Over the Valley by Ryan Ditch

San Diego photographer Ryan Ditch snapped this otherworldly image as a hiker stands on the edge of the cliff looking down into the expansive valley below. Shadows crowd the cliff sides as a small bit of light breaks the dark in this view from Taft Point.

Outdoor and landscape photographer Carter Murphy was in the right place at the right time when lighting hit across the mountains in Yosemite. “This goes down as one of my most proud Yosemite captures thus far,” his post states. The view from Glacier Point showed a moody storm, pink lighting and dramatic sunset while the beautiful waterfall flows from the mountains with an incredible balancing of light and dark.
