On July 7, Cannella Media, a behemoth in direct response television, launched its brainchild, RVTV across 75 channels and 46 major markets with Roku and Firestick streaming on the horizon.

Dan Dominski, the VP of Content, Programming, and Sponsorships for RVTV is working with content creators and manufacturers to create a robust and informative range of programming that includes everything from RV talent shows to in-depth RV market analysis.

Think of it like HGTV but for RV enthusiasts. Pouring through countless videos on YouTube was the rule rather than the exception, prior to the launch of RVTV. With millions of RVers across the country, RVTV looks to fill a massive gap in RV entertainment and informative programming, with potential for enormous growth.

When and Where Will RVTV Be Available?

When and Where Will RVTV Be Available?

RVTV was launched on July 7, however, like most major new streaming networks, the best is yet to come. There are several shows on the way and most of them feature the familiar seasonal structure. For instance, RV Unplugged Season 1 is scheduled for release in August, with other shows, such as Luxury RV Tour and RVers Got Talent either streaming or on the way.

Streaming on Roku and Firestick devices is in the works. Keep in mind, there is currently an RVTV on Roku’s long list of streaming channels. Unfortunately, it stands for Roanoke Valley Television. Things like that will work themselves out as RVTV makes its debut on major streaming platforms.

There’s also no official release date for RVTV on Roku and Firestick. The RVTV.tv site simply indicates that it’s “coming soon.” If you want to find out where you can watch RVTV in its current state, the site also contains a full list of channels under its “Where to Watch” tab.

Even though RVTV hasn’t hit the major streaming platforms just yet, you can still get 24-hour programming across their available channels. Once it becomes a streaming channel, expect RV content around the clock.

What Types of Programming Will This RV TV Channel Have?

The types of programming RVTV will offer is incredible, especially considering the youth of the network. Don’t expect a variety of infomercials on cleaning your grey tank in between episodes of Yogi Bear. RVTV is the real deal, and the volume of content right out of the box is both surprising and welcome.

  • RV Travel: RVTV covers travel from the solo to the family dynamic
  • RV Reviews: Catch all of the latest RVs, innovations, and comparisons on a single program
  • RV Lifestyle: This entertaining information program is for those looking to get into the lifestyle, which includes every aspect from boondocking to living on the road in small travel trailers to behemoth fifth-wheels and class-A motorhomes
  • Featured RV Parks: Not only does it serve as a directory but also as a marketing platform for some of the best RV parks in the country
  • Newest Tech: Covers exactly what you would expect so you can stay ahead of the curve on RV technology and conveniences
  • RV Tours: Mike and Susan from RVBlogger will be touring RVs, offering viewers tons of information about towable and drivable RVs.

That’s just a small window into a much larger universe of RV-related content, which also includes industry diversity, new RV models, renting RVs, sharing RVs, accessories, and shows that feature the more entertaining side of RVing. RVer’s Got Talent is just one such show that focuses more on the personal and comedic side of the RV lifestyle.

The best part about RVers Got Talent is that anyone can participate. Simply make your own videos covering your particular talent and submit them.

Will You Have to Pay For RVTV?

You will not have to pay for RVTV when streaming on Roku and Firestick (along with future streaming platform releases). If you currently have any of the channels advertised on the RVTV website, you will not have to pay for them either.

It’s good to see another streaming platform that doesn’t require you to add yet another streaming subscription to the mountain of streaming platforms we already pay for. You won’t have to sell a kidney on the black market to afford another streaming program. RVTV is for everyone that has access, and it looks like those available platforms will continue to grow.

Changing the Future of the RV Community

Before RVTV, everything was individualized. Thanks to partnerships with manufacturers, producers, and content creators (writers, YouTubers, podcasters), RVTV is able to both compile existing content and open up a new platform for existing content creators.

Since content creators cover a massive spectrum of voices, opinions, videos, podcasts, etc, RVTV can leverage and coalesce that into something with higher production values before delivering to a large, enthusiastic, and growing audience.

It also opens up a wealth of opportunities for content creators stuck in the YouTube grind or those who have peaked in their respective podcasts or blogs. It also effectively markets RVs to prospective RVers without hitting them over the head with an overly enthusiastic salesman and a flopping inflatable tube man in the background.

Content and Advertising Opportunities with RVTV

Content and Advertising Opportunities with RVTV

As a burgeoning force in RV media and entertainment circles, RVTV is ripe with opportunities for content creators, RV manufacturers, and RV product retailers. There’s plenty of content already available but Cannella Media has a mind for the long-term.

If you want to be a part of the channel, feel free to reach out to Dan Dominski, VP of Content and Programming, at [email protected], (414) 397-8054, or on his LinkedIn profile. Be sure to tell Dan you saw this article on RVBlogger.com!

Final Thoughts on RVTV

RVTV is the first channel that’s purely dedicated to the RV lifestyle and community. You won’t catch reruns of Star Trek on RVTV, only RV-related content, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. As both a content creator and a consumer, this is an exciting moment for RVers everywhere.

Remember, no streaming service survives in a desert. The more eyeballs RVTV attracts and holds on to, the bigger its success. Success means more content and a growing network of available streaming platforms.

While we mentioned the opportunities RVTV offers for content creators and manufacturers, this is also an opportunity for RVers to be a part of the massive RV community out there. Grow the platform and bring RVing to prospective consumers across the country.
