Opening of Sun Outdoors Islamorada Celebrated in Florida

ISLAMORADA, Fla. – Sun Outdoors, a leader in outdoors hospitality, celebrated the grand opening of their new Florida Keys resort, Sun Outdoors Islamorada, the evening of Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at the property. The event welcomed Sun team members, project partners, community leaders and members to celebrate the grand opening of the resort.
Representatives onsite included Sun Communities’ Chief Operating Officer Bruce Thelen and Islamorada Mayor Joseph “Buddy” Pinder, who lead the celebration with a ribbon cutting and speeches during the event, pictured above. Village Director Ted Yates and Islamorada Chamber of Commerce board members and ambassadors were also represented onsite, including Chamber Executive Director Judy Hull.
Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed entertainment including a steel drum band and mermaid performer around the resort pool and welcome center, while enjoying tours of the property and gathering for food and beverages as they celebrated.
Sun Outdoors Islamorada (87395 Old Highway) opened for business in May 2023.
