Viral Video: Man Gets Chased by Baby Bobcat (Then He Kisses It)

When a baby bobcat chased a man (who goes by youngsleeper6 on social media), neither the bobcat nor the man likely knew where that relationship would go. At first, the man didn’t know whether the baby was alone or with its mother. But at some point, he must have suspected that it was alone, because he ended up taking the animal home in an effort to save its life.

A viral video from youngsleeper6’s point of view shows him running through a field with the baby bobcat chasing him. He breathes heavily as if he’s been running for a bit before he starts recording. Eventually, he stops running and lets the bobcat catch up to him. He ends up picking it up and even giving it some kisses before setting it back down and running away again.

Youngsleeper6 posted numerous videos and updates on his TikTok and Instagram profiles, with the “chased by a baby bobcat” video attracting over 18.6 million views alone. However, it’s difficult to discern the exact timeline of events. At one point, he and a coworker returned to the field where the baby chased him to look for its mother.

In the end, wildlife officials came to collect the bobcat. Many people online speculate the viral videos alerted officials to the fact that Youngsleeper6 had the wild cat. Although the man was sad to let the bobcat, which he named Bobby, go, it’s probably for the best. Here’s hoping Bobby gets rehabilitated and released.
